Description

Sangria is a fruity red wine beverage from Spain. It consists of red wine, orange juice and in brandy soaked fruit pieces, a palatable and world famous mixture that goes down well with almost everybody. You can prepare big quantities in a bowl, thats why it's a good drink for events with many people.

The fruit pieces you prepare in advance and let them soak with alcohol for a couple of hours. Apples and pears are best choice for Sangria, but you could also add other fruit chunks like e.g. pineapples or melons. A half slice of lemon and orange belongs into the drink, it refines the taste and looks really good.

A great option for nice get-togethers in the evening with many people.

Different Sangria decorations

Sangria in a tumbler and wine glasses.

Tumbler, wine or small-sized long-drink glasses are most appropiate for Sangria. A half slice of lemon, orange and the fruit chunks belong into the drink. Lay out ready a tea spoon for everybody, it's a great help to eat the fruit pieces. Further decorations like a slice of orange on the border of the glass are rather unusual.
