Description

Pisco Sour is a cocktail named after the Peruvian city Pisco. It consists of pisco (Peruvian or Chilean spirit of grapes), egg white, lemon juice, a dash of Angostura Bitter and a pinch of cinnamon. In Peru and Chile it's a big hit, everybody that has ever been there certainly drank a couple of them.

When it comes to taste, it's a faintly sour and sweet cocktail with spicy notes of Angostura Bitter and pisco. If you don't like Angostura it's not a problem to omit it.

Pisco Sour is prepared in a cocktail shaker, the beaten egg white produces a nice white crest that you garnish with a pinch of cinnamon. A harmonic mixture for women and men that looks really appealing.

It's a drink with raw eggs. Use only fresh eggs, don't risk a salmonella poisoning.

A good option in the afternoon, for an apero or a dessert after eating.
