Description

Piña Colada is a coconut cocktail from Puerto Rico. It consists of rum, Batida de Coco liqueur, pineapple juice, cream and a bit of sugar syrup. A good looking tropical mixture that goes down especially well with women.

Coconut liqueur or coconut cream has about the same influence on taste as rum and pineapple juice. A creamy, fruity and palatable mixture which brings tropical feelings to your home.

Piña Colada is also optically an attractive cocktail. The white mixture looks amazing with pineapple-cherry decoration and black straws.

A good option for sunny days in the afternoon, particularly on the beach. Because Piña Colada contains cream, it's rather a heavy cocktail, which you shouldn't serve before eating.

Decoration

Piña ColadaPreparation: Decoration

A piece of pineapple with a cherry on top fits well with Piña Colada. For that, cut a triangle of pineapple and make a short cut in the middle. Then take a tooth pick and stick a cherry on top. Put it all together on the glass rim.

Different Piña Colada decorations

Serve Piña Colada in long-drink glasses.

Hurricane or long-drink glasses are most appropriate for Piña Colada . It's a fancy cocktail which you should decorate. Fruity decorations made of pineapple, cherries and star fruit look really great. In any case don't forget black straws.

A good presentation and an adequate environment are as important as the taste of cocktails. Use our decoration tool to test different decorations and glasses.

Definitely needs a pinch of salt. The difference between an average Pina Colada and a spectacular one.
