Description

Kir is a palatable wine cocktail from France. It consists of white wine and crème de cassis, a sweet surprise for your next visitors.

The black currant flavor of créme de cassis or cassis syrup is complemeting white wine very well. A sweetish and palatable drink that goes down especially well with women, but also men like it.

A good choice for a welcome drink, aperos or nice get-togethers in the evening.

Decoration / Serving

Different Kir decorations

Serve Kir in wine glasses.

Wine glasses are most appropiate for Kir. If you don't have them available, champagne glasses are a good alternative. A blackberry or raspberry in the drink looks good and some places serve it that way. Most of the time Kir is served without decoration.
